Christmas Cards

My coworkers decided instead of buying plain boring cards they asked me to design their cards this year and get something they not only liked but more personalized.

Melissa wanted something that looked fun and festive and
knew she wanted lights in strings and we came up with this together.
(I've become quite obsessed with the kraft paper after seeing how great the colors looked on it.)

For Shawn's card his wife Morgan wanted a photo design
since they got married earlier this year so they had to start the bar high.
She knew what layout she wanted so we tweaked it to match her photo
and to make everything fit with her witty saying (their last name is White).
With a thick gloss card stock paper they were a perfect pop with the minimal color she wanted.

Engagement Invites

So while we were on vacation on the cruise my brother proposed to his girlfriend!!! So exciting!
So we came home and I had to do something, so myself and a family friend threw them an Engagement party, so OF COURSE I had to pull out all stops on the invites for them. They turned out to be a big hit with everyone and became the basis for our decorations for the party.

My brother is obsessed with batman so I just had to play on that!

I took them and made them a postcard so it was quicker and easier to get out in the little time we had. The backside had the comic thought/talk bubbles to match the feel of the front.

Of course I couldn't stop there I had to surprise them with name badges for the bridal party that not everyone would know. The badges is what I probably had the most fun with! And Nadia loved them which was most important.

Mr Black's Commitment shirts

The commitment shirts were a little different and edgy than the rest of the shirts. Commitment was about defining it on the shirt I can...I will was definetly a phrase for it. Once the phrase was decided I wanted the shirt to scream it when the students were wearing it. there were several different trials for this shirt and Commitment plastered across the front of the shirt was perfect.
The shirt ended up being dark grey and was front and back.

Howell Equestrian Structures and Consulting

Working on a business logo is always nice but getting to do the logo letterhead envelopes and business cards for the company is even better! Howell Equestrian Structures and Consulting was a great business client to add to my portfolio.

Mrs Borum Retirement Tshirt

A little while after my Aunt received her vacation shirt we were talking about my cousins last couple weeks of school and she was trying to fins a gift for the teacher it was her last year of teaching she decided to retire. So of course I offered my design services and made her a similar shirt to show all the kids and the teacher. The teacher loved it and my cousin was so excited to give his teacher this 'cool' gift that his 'wicked talented' cousin made and no one else was going to have (ego boost commence). I was so happy to make something she would always have and cherish her last year as a teacher.

50th Anniversary

Now that everyone's shirt has been given to them I can finally share my design!
My grandparents 50th anniversary is in August and in July we will be going on a cruise to celebrate. Yes ALL 15 of us are going (My uncle is on the shirt but he's staying back home on the farm and watching all the animals but I couldn't leave him off it's still a celebration and he is family).
I of course had to come up with another hilarious vacation shirt for us to wear.
(I did one for our big cruise trip several years ago to Mexico and everyone kept asking where we got them because they were so hilarious) This year everyone will be packing a packet of design info to hand out with my info to share for future references of design ideas. (Ofcourse Im taking up on the opportunity to spread my name and find some potential clients. I had a lot of fun designing this though. Making sure everyones height was correct in comparison and hair color (or bald for some) matching accordingly.

Baby Jonathan!

I had the honor of hosting a baby shower for my cousin with my mother to celebrate her little boy coming into the world. I loved designing the invitations and once I started hearing how much all the invitees loved them I chose to use elements of them for the decorations for the party as well. The theme was boy but we added a hint of us that really gave everybody a laugh. What more fun is a baby shower invitation that a giraffe riding a motorcycle with a side car passenger baby boy. And of course we had to add an actual stuffed motorcycle diaper cake. Cupcakes and favors were decorated with stickers that matched the theme and invitations. I'm a huge banner person so instead of a traditional one to frame I had to do a pendant banner to hang off the pool table with Jonathan's name. The decorations and party was a huge success and I was so happy everyone loved the design.
